Effective at the opening this morning, Golden Maritime
Resources Ltd. was posted and called for trading on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. The
company is classified as an "Advanced" company and trades under the symbol
"GDM".
Golden Maritime Resources has entered into the business of shrimp fishing and farming in
Nicaragua by acquiring, as wholly-owned subsidiaries, two Nicaraguan companies Aqua Azul
and Maricultora. The subsidiaries respectively hold fishing licenses and a shrimp farming
concession in Nicaragua. As part of the development of the fishing business, Golden
Maritime has acquired three 29 meter double-hulled shrimp trawlers and factory ships.
Golden Maritime Resources Ltd. has completed its initial distribution of shares to the
public for total gross proceeds of $13,679,000 (13,679,000 shares at $1.00 per share).
The company's capitalization is 99,875,000 common shares with no par value of which
32,140,126 shares are currently issued and outstanding (including 8 million shares in
escrow). Montreal Trust Company is the transfer agent and Global Securities Corp. is the
sponsoring member.
