Effective at the opening this morning, Masterpiece Games
Inc. was posted and called for trading on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. The creation and
listing of Masterpiece Games Inc. is effective pursuant to a Plan of Arrangement of
Grandmaster Technologies. The company is classified as a "Venture" company and
trades under the symbol "MPA".
Pursuant to the Plan of Arrangement, the business of Masterpiece Games Inc. has now been
established around the game of chess. The company publishes a magazine called Inside Chess
and also purchases and resells software including databases, CD-ROMs, chess tutorials and
chess software opponents.
The company's capitalization is 100 million common shares with no par value of which
8,255,272 shares are currently issued and outstanding (including 1.5 million shares in
escrow). Montreal Trust Company is the transfer agent and Jones Gable & Company is the
sponsoring member.
