Effective at the opening this morning Rubicon Minerals
Corporation was posted and called for trading on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. The company
is classified as a "Venture" company and trades under the symbol
"RMX".
Rubicon Minerals Corp. is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral
properties. To date, the company's activities have been focused on the acquisition of gold
and base
metal producing camps in eastern Canada.
Rubicon Minerals Corp. has completed its initial distribution of shares to the public for
total gross proceeds of $1,785,000 (1,700,000 shares at $1.05 per share).
The company's capitalization is 100 million common shares with no par value of which
7,525,000 shares are currently issued and outstanding (including 750,000 shares in
escrow). Montreal Trust Company is the transfer agent and Haywood Securities Inc. is the
sponsoring member.
