The past year continued to be a volatile year for securities markets around the world, and the VSE was no exception. Despite the many external influences, the VSE maintained proper fiscal control, exceptional service levels and sound market integrity through fair and consistent enforcement standards.

Through a series of regulatory innovation initiatives, the VSE has provided improved access to capital for listed companies. The streamlined policies and procedures mean faster responses, fewer limitations and reduced fees and expenses for listed companies.

The president’s message in the Annual Report also outlines the Exchange’s vision for the future, with particular emphasis on the Canadian capital market restructuring.
